Measuring Impact of our careers provision and Destination data

At St Bernard’s we regularly assess the impact of our careers programmes on students by completing an annual student survey and analysing destination data in line with activities that they have taken part in at school. In addition, the views of students and parents will be surveyed after key events, for example, our Engaging Parents in Raising Attainment evenings, Year 10 Work Experience, Year 10 mock interviews and employer encounters. Here is some feedback from our Year 11 mock interviews in the Autumn term.

85% of students now feel more prepared for future interviews and 81% of students now feel more confident talking to employers.

“I learnt that in order to do good you have to be prepared in every way to answer the questions to the best of your ability. I also learnt different aspects of the career I wanted to pursue and different options of the subjects I want to take on further in my life.”

“I learnt how to talk to other people more confidently. This has prepared me for any future interviews, may that be in person or online.”
