St. Bernard's Catholic High School takes e-safety very seriously. We have used various systems to educate students on how to stay safe when using ICT, as well as supporting parents in doing this.

Mobile Phones

If parents purchase a mobile phone for their children and you specify that it is for a youngster, the network provider is obliged to add safety settings at the outset. If this does not happen it can be requested.

Safety at home

When setting up a new internet service or changing providers - let your ISP know minors will be using the connection and they will set up the appropriate filtering. Many Internet providers now filter by default unless asked not to by customers, but it is worth checking that this is the case.
